An apple a day keeps the pipe smoker happy!
I originally was going to sandblast this pipe, but the grain just wasn't right for blasting. Almost no prominent growth rings meant that if it blasted at all, it was going to be a shallow and ho-hum blast. Instead, it showed some promise as a smooth pipe, so I decided to take it all the way. As you can see, it's got some interesting birdseye on one side, and it took a shine very well.
