I've recently recieved a shipment of swirl ebonite that came in a multitude of colors mixed with black, and when I saw
how the stain was progressing on this pipe as I was working on it, I just knew that the brown and black swirl would be
perfect for the stem on this pipe. The colors are VERY complimentary to each other. To add a bit of interest, I
added a shank ring of briar in a slightly contrasting (though unstained) color.
And check out the birdseye on the bottom. Dang near insane!
