This is the first pipe in quite a while that I've used bamboo on. For a while there it seemed like everyone and their mother had bamboo on pipes, so I figured I'd let that rest for a while and focus on other methods of embelishment. However, this stummel just screamed for bamboo, so I decided to use it.

The pipe is very lightweight. When you pick it up, it darn near disappears in your hand, and in your mouth. That's why bamboo is used, it weighs nearly nothing, and helps make a handsome pipe be comfortable. Clenching will be a breeze. I've got one that I made for myself about two years ago that is similar in dimensions, and I can tell you that I sometimes forget it's in my mouth. I've walked into more than one bookstore, and had to be reminded that smoking was forbidden indoors,
This pipe does have a small spot on the side of the bowl that you can see in the photos. Normally I would blast this pipe, but instead I decided to leave it smooth. However, I've reduced the price SIGNIFICANTLY over what it would have been without that small spot. One thing is for certain though, once you smoke it, you'll agree you got it for a song.
