Discus 2
Price: $245
I've only ever made a handful of pipes in the discus shape, or blowfish as it's sometimes known. The blocks for these can be difficult to come by
since you really want the grain very parallel in order to make a disc. Some cross-cut blocks can be made into similar shapes by following the
grain and creating asymmetrical compositions, but those are also very difficult to pull off. When I started shaping this pipe, I was very pleased that the grain seemed to be going in all the right directions, matching my expectations from the block's outward appearance. The fact that it ended up sandblasted does nothing to diminish my pleaseure either. The blast is deep, detailed, craggy, and all around excellent.
