Not bad for the first try, eh? Actually, this pipe went together so well, and so easily, that I was certain something bad was going to happen right at the end. Thankfully, nothing did. It did end up blasted, but that's just the way the story goes with briar wood. It did, however, end up with a nice blast, so I'll forgive the lack of a smooth finish. The stem ring is cocobolo - possibly my most favorite wood of all (outside of briar, of course!), and I left the stem thick enough to stand up to even the most clenchiest of clenchers.
