Lovat1
Price: $283

It's hard to believe it, but several years after I started making pipes, it looks like I finally made a lovat. It's not due to some strange aversion to the shape, I assure you, but it's just that it's the first pipe I can look at and say "This is a lovat!". Sure, I may have made others that reembled a lovat if you looked at them sideways and squinted one eye, but that's not really a good lovat if you have to do that. Those are probably just billiards with saddle stems.

This one has a cumberland ring on the shank - not a stem ring. It also boasts a wonderful and rich staining. More than just "brown", it's multi-layered, and has shades of red and mahogany in it that are complimented by the red in the cumberland ring. It's also really light, coming in at just over one ounce, shanks to it's pencil-thin shank.
