Nautilus 6
Price: $365
Would you believe it's been almost 5 years to the day since I've made a nautilus? Several things have happened in the interim,
not the least of which is my growth as an artist. I've developed a much deeper understanding of flow, proportion, and composition.
I've also refined my skills with the lathe considerably, making long elegant stems with understated elegance much easier to make.
This pipe has been partially blasted, a necessity of the wood, but careful planning allowed me to weave an interplay between the blasted and
smooth portions of the pipe in a manner that compliments the shape nicely. And speaking of careful planning, I've used a bit of copper to provide
an added bit of accent to the pipe, complimenting the ruddy color of the staining.
