Breaking a long streak of sandblasted pipes, this little gem actually surprised me a bit when I found it could be finished smooth. I was
completely prepared to sandblast it, but clearly the wood had different ideas. Sporting an interesting flame grain all around, I chose to treat
this pipe to one of my signature contrast stains to bring out the beauty of the briar. To top it off, the pipe has been given a hand cut ebonite
stem that has been slightly recessed into the shank in order to show off as much wood as possible.
