Ever wonder where the name "rhodesian" came from? Me too, and I have no idea. All I know is that a rhodesian looks kinda like a bulldog, but it has a round stem. Bulldogs have a diamond shaped stem. Nobody has every explained the provenance of the name, however. If YOU know, please email me and let me know!
That said, this atypical rhodesian is a very comfortable pipe. It's lightweight, and the bowl shape sits in your hand very well. This is one of those 'any time, any where' pipes.
