Begun almost six months ago, this pipe was picked up and put down several times as I figured out exactly what it was supposed to look like. While the overall shape didn't change that much, it was the little tweaks and small changes that ultimately contributed to the final form, and brought everything together in one cohesive shape. Along the way I decided to sandblast the pipe, and when the shape was finally finished it seemed to call more for a really gnarly finish that you can only get by first rusticating, then sandblasting. The final result turned out incredibly, and it's great fun to look at and run your thumb over.

The stem is a piece of yellow and tan swirled ebonite - the first time I've used this particular color of ebonite.
